"Sometimes, I feel like I can’t breathe. Like my own mind is suffocating me with thoughts I can’t control."
"It’s lying awake at night overanalyzing every conversation you had that day."
"I wake up tired, I go to bed tired, and in between, I pretend I’m okay."
Like many, I understand the challenges these feelings can bring, because I've experienced them myself. I too have had to ask for help, which was scary, but I also learned what it meant to have compassion for myself and I gained a different relationship with my anxiety and depression.
I believe in a holistic approach that recognizes the connection between mind, body, and spirit. By combining traditional therapy with the restorative power of nature and movement, we can work towards a more balanced and grounded sense of well-being. For me, running outside on a trail, hiking, or even meditation, was just as important for my recovery than talking things out with a therapist. My approach integrates mental processes with physical movement and nature, connecting mind, body, spirit, and place.
My aim is to create an environment where you feel seen, heard, and truly accepted, fostering a deeper connection to yourself and to the world around you.
YOUR PAST EXPERIENCES
Exploring your past might sound scary but it doesn't have to be. I recognize that everyone's journey is unique. That's why I tailor my approach to meet your specific needs and goals.
THE ROOT CAUSE
Exploring your past isn't about judging or getting stuck in the details. Sometimes the details are what keep people stuck. My approach is focused on identifying specific ways you internalize those experiences, and how those took root to shape your current narrative and approach to life.
WHAT MATTERS TO YOU
Therapy isn't about my needs. My job is to listen and follow your lead. I believe you are the expert on you, and that you reached out to me for some perspective and support, or maybe even some accountability. I might point you to some doors, but you get to choose which ones to walk through.
Whether we're meeting outdoors for walk-and-talk therapy, engaging in somatic movement, or integrating nature into your healing journey, sessions are tailored to your unique needs.
